AutoCAD Tips & Tricks : Restoring the Classic Insert Command for Better Workflow
Do the following the change the Insert button on the ribbon and add a Block choice to the Insert menu
nge the INSERT shortcut:
Click the Manage tab on the ribbon and then Edit Aliases on the Customization panel.
In the acad.pgp text window that opens, find the line:
I, *INSERT
Change it to:
I, *CLASSICINSERT
Close and save the .pgp file and then restart AutoCAD.
