This tutorial is about how to use the child-of constraint for picking up and dropping objects. you can also use this to make someone enter and exit a vehicle. There are lots of uses for this!! Hope you enjoy :D
------------------------------------------------------------

How to use the constraint:

⦁ To do that, first Animate your character's hand moving towards the object.

⦁ Go to the frame where he's about to grab it.

⦁ Then, select your object and in the constraints tab add a "Child Of"

⦁ Select the Characters armature then select the hand bone he's using to grab your object.

⦁ Press Set Inverse to correct the position.

⦁ Turn Auto Keying On.

⦁ Now add a keyframe on Influence and go back a frame a set another keyframe, but set it to zero

⦁ Now Go to where he will drop the object, add a keyframe on influence and keyframe the objects transform as well.

⦁ Now go to the next frame, and press this little X button, keyframe it, and keyframe the object once more.

⦁ If you want it it now parent back to the barrel just repeat the first part and you got yourselves something awesome like this!!!
