NEADS Tapes: "Aircraft VFR six miles southeast of the White House"
Colin Scoggins, the military liaison at Boston Air Traffic Control (ATC), calls the North East Air Defense Sector (NEADS) at 9:36 on 9/11. He says a hijacked airliner is six miles SW of the White House. The plane is American Airlines flight 77, and hits the Pentagon about two minutes after this call begins.
