➡️ After hearing a punk-rock rendition of "Brown Eyed Girl" by Lagwagon (and freakin' loving it), our community on Patreon implored me to check out Me First and the Gimme Gimmes for a special episode. I simply looked up a master song list from the band and picked three songs I loved as a child, and it was such a blast hearing the band's take on them. I was really surprised by how much they honored some of the original performances while totally simplifying the heart of each song in their own style. I discuss some of the differences between Fat Mike and C. J. Ramone's bass playing, what liberties the band took for each song, and some personal history on why I love the three songs I chose!
