Physics Made Easy- Magnetic Force between two wires having current-solved problem-2
Hi, this is a simple and basic numerical for Magnetic Force. Magnitude of vector is found by applying the Equation, whereas Direction of vector is found by using Right Hand Rule with 3 vector directions.
One can equally apply the LEFT HAND RULE for directions, but we need to take care to use it correctly like below:
1. Forefinger for Magnetic Field vector direction passing through the wire-1 , which is actually the magnetic field caused wire-2
2. Middle finger for Current flow direction
3. Then the Thumb will show the resultant direction of FORCE acting on the wire-1. Similarly for wire-2.
Improve confidence with theory by going through this solved numerical. Become expert in understanding the vectors and using the Right Hand Rule (which is different from Right Hand Thumb Rule) as well as LEFT HAND RULE
Actually I prefer the LEFT HAND RULE as it is used in Motors
