Steve ‘nighteagle’ Doman, 69, from Colorado, US bought the house in 1986, and started the trekkie transformation nearly 14 years ago – and $30,000 later it is finally almost complete.

Comment: The only way it can get more awesome is if was functional; e.g., the intercom actually worked, or the displays are working computer screens! Same reason why we don't think the intercom works - not a single demonstration of their functions. You'd think a video piece about the setup would show demonstrations about its higher functions.
Despite how amazing this looks, just proves some people have more money and time on their hands than good sense.

Steve said: “My friends and family think there’s something wrong with me! People are quite amused, it’s very different.
“They don’t understand where all this creativity has come from, but I’m always dreaming.”
Steve, who lives in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, said he tends to stock up on food and hibernate during the long, cold winters – and when he started getting bored he took up his Star Trek renovation as a hobby.
One room at a time, he has now completely transformed his home.
Steve bought the house in 1986, and started the trekkie transformation nearly 14 years ago – and $30,000 later it is finally almost complete.
He said: “I have six rooms downstairs that are Star Trek themed rooms.
“Right now my favourite room is the Federation room – and I sleep in the Klingon Ambassador quarters.
“I still have a couple more rooms to finish off when everything downstairs is to my liking, so I figure I have enough work to last me until I’m 73 years old – if I ever get that far!
“This is my version of playing in the future, so my house and everything I have created is used daily just like a normal house.”
