The root cause of insurgency in Tripura is the huge influx of migrants from the neighbouring Bangladesh. Huge demographic inversion took place due to the migration. Ratio of tribal to non-tribal changed to 30:70 from 70:30. National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF). In Mizoram Central government played an important role but the case of Tripura was completely different where state government played an important role not the center.
