There are over 30 species of rattlesnakes found across the Americas, from Canada all the way down to Mexico. Rattlesnakes survive in a vast range of terrains including deserts, grasslands, forests, rocky mountains and even urban settlements. Feeding on small mammals such as rats, rattlesnakes use heat-sensing abilities and deadly venom to hunt their prey.
This documentary examines the following snakes up close; the Diamondback Rattlesnake, the Prairie Rattlesnake, Ridge-Nosed Rattlesnake, Tiger Rattlesnake and many more. These slithery creatures face threats to their changing habitats due to human interference.
