"Through desperation and wanting just to save my own life, my heart opened to what that was and to the community of people. It can be uncomfortable discussing these things, but I know that it is helpful to just get all of these stories out and into the lexicon of how we communicate. This is not some kind of weakness. Hopefully I won't forget some of the things that I think I've learned this year, and take with me the things that do work and feel honest and feel healthy and be brave enough to discard some of the shit that makes us sick. You know, easier said than done, but I'm hopeful." - Langhorne Slim

Today, we're releasing the next video in our partnership with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and our “Song that Found Me at the Right Time” series. This one features Philly-raised, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Langhorne Slim performing “Here Comes My Baby” by Cat Stevens.

Slim's 2021 LP “Strawberry Mansion” was called an oxymoron by @paste in that it was "a hopeful pandemic album." When we spoke with him in May at his ephemera-filled home, this positivity was evident - as Slim discussed being sober, staying connected with community and continuing to create.
