How to Configure a Secondary Domain Controller Windows Server 2019
Beginners Guide to promoting a secondary domain controller to your existing domain.
A Step by Step guide to go through the basics of running up a second DC on a Windows Server 2019. I was a little impatient at the end when i was waiting for the replication to take place it just needed some time. In this Domain controller install I have placed the SYSVOL / NTFS / LOGS into the second partition.
Step by Step:
Create Virtual Machine
Create Partition
Install Windows 2019
Disk Management to setup second partition
Configure IP Address
Configure Computer Name
Add Roles And Features
Active Directory Domain Services
Follow through the prompts
Reboot
Login!
