When a body was found in the trunk of a missing German woman’s car in August 2022, authorities and her family came to the reasonable conclusion that she was dead.
However, truth is stranger than fiction, it seems, when the Germany police uncovered an unusual motive for murder — the woman who had been missing had found a lookalike on Instagram and killed her, in order to stage her own death and "start a new life".
