Bootstrap is an open source framework that uses HTML, CSS and JavaScript for creating web sites and web applications.
Bootstrap was developed by Mark Otto and Jacob Thornton at Twitter
Bootstrap was originally named Twitter Blueprint
The first version of Bootstrap was released on August 19, 2011
On January 31st 2012, Bootstrap 2 was released and it added new features like twelve-column responsive grid layout system, the support for Glyphicons fonts etc.
The stable version of Bootstrap version 4 was released on January 18, 2018
