The new CUPRA Formentor embraces CUPRA’s new design language DNA with the shark-nose front end, triangular CUPRA Matrix LED, and integrated and illuminated CUPRA logo in the rear light.
The interior incorporates a redesigned and improved HMI interface, and a new high-fidelity audio system with 12 speakers, developed in collaboration with Sennheiser Mobility. In addition, a more sustainable approach has been adopted with the introduction of recycled materials.
The new CUPRA Formentor is designed to merge the performance of both the combustion and electrified powertrains.
It will be available with a wide range of powertrains, including four different technologies: TSI (petrol), a new eTSI (mild hybrid), TDI (diesel) and a new generation of eHybrid engines (plug-in hybrid). In total, there are eight different powertrain options, from 150PS to 333PS.
It features a new TSI petrol engine that delivers 333 hp (245 kW) and is associated with Torque Splitter technology for selective torque distribution and an optional six-piston Akebono brake system.
The chassis system of the CUPRA Formentor VZ allowed engineers to include a Drift Mode.
