This week I've been replaying some of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim". In 2021, Bethesda released a brand-new update for the game called "The Anniversary Edition" which was supposed to celebrate the game's tenth year anniversary. I honestly can't think of a bigger slap in the face, than to start charging your players a fee to install community made mods for your anniversary update.
"You've enjoyed 10 years of free modding on Skyrim, now give me money".
If they had released some form of new content, then it wouldn't have been so bad and blatant but unfortunately the only legacy Bethesda looks to preserve on this Ten year anniversary, is that of a greedy company, which hopes to further exploit it's loyal player-base.
