Dell Optiplex 980 Upgrade CPU, GPU, SSD CMOS RAM 2023
In this video I will be upgrading this Dell Optiplex 980 CMT graphics card, the processor, the RAM memory, the motherboard cmos battery and I will also add a solid state drive and leave the hard disk drive as a secondary drive for documents.
I will replace the CPU from Intel i5 to Intel i7 870
I will add a dedicated graphics card from AMD Radeon HD 5450 1gb from the original integrated Intel graphics card.
I will add 8gb more RAM with the included 4gb of RAM in total there will be 12GB of DDR3 RAM.
Next i will add another 250gb of solid state drive from Walram as a windows system drive and leave the old 320gb mechanical disk drive for documents and other media files.
I had to also replace the CMOS battery and install a fresh new Windows 10 PRO operating system i used the windows 7 serial to activate it later on and i will install the drivers and software with the ninite and SDIO application.
