Many DHIS2-based projects go far beyond replacing paper-based systems with computers to significantly innovate how organizations organize their activities. These innovation processes require different kinds of capacities and resources than traditional IT-oriented projects. We invite DHIS2 users such as Ministries of Health, donors, and DHIS2 implementers to explore how we can engage more in innovative digitalization. We will examine some essential features of the processes that typically lead to innovation, and discuss some persistent obstacles and challenges.
