Tip #3: Collaboration & communication - Connecting in Nature
Our films are for parents, carers and teachers of young children - we hope you enjoy these tips from our friend Alis - headteacher, mindfulness and life coach.

Today’s tip is all about Collaboration, communication, problem-solving, challenge and success - all skills that will be developed as you play this activity. These skills raise a child’s self-esteem as they recognise that they can be successful working with others, communicating accurately, problem-solving and coping with challenges.

As self-esteem improves so does self-confidence and a realisation that these skills are transferable and can be used in other scenarios such as school challenges or social challenges. So what better way than a scavenger hunt to stretch ourselves while enjoying nature?

We created this series to think about mental health with a focus on “Connecting in Nature”. There are 7 films with our wonderful headteacher, life coach and yoga instructor, Alis Rocca, who talks about the themes of Connecting in Nature and about how you and your students or you and your family can be in nature and how it can impact your mental health.

Why not watch the other films in this series for more ideas about how to think about how Nature can be part of our health and wellbeing?    • Wellbeing tips for young children
