Planespotting in 4K at Phuket Int’l Airport. 1hr of Stunning non stop aviation action!

This video includes 60 minutes of incredible action at Phuket International airport in Thailand

Filmed freehand using a 4K Sony AX53 video camera

The airport is on the west coast of Thailand with runway 09 having a very low final approach over the Beach. Similar to St Maarten style but with bigger aircraft!
Every evening I was there they switched to runway 27 ops so you get to see the best of both ends

The filming location for this video is from a hill top just below the control tower, it’s a 15 minute walk along the perimeter road before any hotels or facilities
The location overviews the whole runway and both approaches making it a great location, the position to stand is fairly dangerous however and if spotted by security you will be moved on so keep a low profile, other locations were overhead Mai Khao beach and the 8/5 Cafe along the southern perimeter road

Phuket is currently a huge destination for the Russians considering their ban from many countries around the world so expect to see many Russian flights. As well as domestic flights from around Thailand and internationals from across the world
