Wishing you a very very happy 2023. Its a new year and it's going to be new you too. We all have our goals and resolutions that we set for New Year. So set one for your skincare too. I will help you see the changes that you want and you need for your skin. Remember skin health should be your goal. How should we achieve it? Very simple things. First work on your skin barrier. It is important that we protect our skin first before doing anything for it because skin is the largest organ of our body and it works as a shield. Work on moisturization and keep yourself well hydrated. The second goal that we all should have is photoprotection or protecting yourself from the ultraviolet light. That is why a sunscreen is a must even if you are at home or even if it is cloudy or windy outside you still need to use your sunscreen. Remember that lifestyle is extremely essential for skincare. What is there within is going to be seen out. I keep telling my patients that skin is a mirror of your inner self. So when you are healthy from within your skin just radiates. Lifestyle includes very simple things and we all know that but I am just going to recapitulate them once again. The very good baby sleep or the beauty sleep that we call is actually true for a healthy glowing skin. About 7-8 hours a day is extremely essential. Next comes what you eat. Remember what you eat is directly going to show in the way your skin responds. So eat fruits, vegetables everything that is going to protect your skin good vitamins and minerals. The next of course is what you apply on your skin. Choose the right products. Be comfortable with yourself. Sometimes we set too steep targets and goals we may or may not be able to achieve. Skin is also very genetically inherited so sometimes there are certain things which you cannot change. So be comfortable with the way you are. Reduce the stress on yourself and see how your skin glows. And last but not the least is start small. Do not start with a very large or very long skincare routine which you are not going to continue.
