✨ How I taught in Spain Part II - NALCAP Program - aka Auxiliares de Conversacion
This program is for people with an 🇺🇸 or 🇨🇦 passport who have a bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree, or are at least a junior enrolled in a degree program.
💃🏻 Applications open around Feb for an Oct start, but there are some parts of the application you can do before it opens like requesting your letter of recommendation. Program is first come, first served.
✨ Placements in all regions and territories of Spain. You get to request your top three regions - 1 from each category.
💃🏻 Auxiliares de Conversacion also has programs for the following passports: 🇦🇺 🇳🇿 🇬🇧 🇮🇳 🇵🇭
✨ Each country has slightly different requirements, so google “Auxiliares de Conversacion Spain” plus the name of your country.
💃🏻 I taught in Madrid and got paid 1000€ for 16 hours per week of work. You only work 4 days per week in this program. I supplemented my income with private lessons.
✨ While a TEFL isn’t a requirement, I recommend getting TEFL certified before participating in this program so you are more confident in the classroom.
