Comparison Review of OM System HLD-10 vs Olympus HLD-9 and E-M1X battery grips (power battery holders). The vertical portrait grip HLD-10 is compatible with the OM-1 and OM-1 Mark II whereas Olympus HLD-9 is compatible with the E-M1 mark II and E-M1 mark III. The OM-D E-M1X has a built in vertical battery grip. Each grip has its advantages and disadvantages and slightly different features.

This power battery holder is a grip designed for the Olympus OM-1 and OM System OM-1 Mark II. It offers similar controls in the vertical position as the horizontal position.

It maintains an IP53 dust-proof and splash-proof construction when paired with the OM System OM-1. When two BLX-1 Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Batteries are in the camera and the HLD-10 are used together, approximately 1,040 shots (based on CIPA tests) can be captured. When attached to the OM System OM-1, the BLX-1 Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery can be charged inside the HLD-10 via the USB-C port on the camera.

This power battery holder is a grip designed for the Olympus OM-D E-M1 III and E-M1 Mark II. It offers similar controls in the vertical portrait orientation as the horizontal landscape position.

It maintains the weather sealing construction when paired with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark 2 or the E-M1 Mark 3. The HLD-9 PBH (Power Battery Holder) provides two distinct sources for powering the camera:
Power Source: Battery (BLH-1 Li-ion battery ×1)
Power Source: AC power source: (AC-5 AC adapter)

In addition to the above two sources of power the E-M1 III can also be powered via USB-C Power Delivery however this will not be possible when the HLD-9 grip is attached to the camera. Although the BLH-1 battery in the camera can be charged via USB-C even if the HLD-9 PBH is attached as long as the camera is switched off.
