iOS/iPadOS 16 was unveiled yesterday, and Apple made the decision to kill support of two generations of iPhone, but curiously kept support for iPads powered by the same hardware. Here's a look at the performance of the first beta of iOS 16 on the slowest supported iPad: the 2017 iPad 5th Generation, with the same internals as the iPhone 6s. I show how performance has held up, new features as well as what's been locked to newer iPads.
