This video in our cPanel tutorial series explains how to upload a file in the File Manager of cPanel. File manager is a tool within cPanel that allows you to work directly with the files in your web hosting account.

First, log into the cPanel interface.

Next, locate the File Manager icon under the Files category and click on it. This opens up the File Manager.

Now, look at the top menu bar and locate the Upload button. Give that a click.

This opens up a window for you to select the file from your local computer. Find the file, click on it and then click the "Open" button on the screen.

Your file will now be uploaded to your server. There is a progress bar in the lower right corner so you can see when it is done.

After it is done, select the "Go Back" link on the page. This will return you to the File Manager. You should now see the newly uploaded file in the file listing.
