Did you know that a new bulletproof vest costs at least $500 per vest, and Chicago police officers are responsible for purchasing their own bullet proof vests?
I am looking for local businesses that want to help us raise funds for our annual Chicago Police Memorial Foundation Vest-A-Thon fundraiser next Saturday, 2/22, from 10am-1pm on Home Sweet Home Chicago on WGN Radio.
On Saturday, 2/22, Dante Deiana will be donating the proceeds from Welcome to the Farm - Chicago, and Greg Gaardbo and Kristina Gaardbo from Chicago Culinary Kitchen will be donating all beer proceeds when you purchase a beer with a sandwich. Make sure to visit either spot (or both) next Saturday and have your money go towards a great cause!
