Tracking the Tropics: Hurricane Beryl could intensify further, other systems to look out for
Hurricane Beryl has officially formed in the Atlantic Ocean, becoming the first-named hurricane of the season, according to the National Hurricane Center
In its latest advisory, the National Hurricane Center said the hurricane is expected to bring life-threatening winds and storm surge to the Windward Islands.
"Forecast to bring life-threatening winds and storm surge to the Windward Islands as an extremely dangerous hurricane," NHC forecasters said.
