How to Play Real GBA Pokemon Games on Discord
How to play GBA Pokemon on Discord! Yes, You heard that correctly! This is a tutorial on how to play the GBA games in the discord chat with your discord. I played the text based pokemon and it was super boring, so I decided to see if I could make something better! This will work on any gameboy advanced (GBA) or gameboy Color. Really any system that doesn't use analog devices.
Essentially, your discord server uses a text room to move and control a computer that is playing the games. The game I used for this is pokemon crystal, but honestly you can play any pokemon game and a lot of other nintendo games!
I have tested on the following games and it seems to work pretty well:
Pokémon Red and Blue (1998)
Pokémon Yellow (1999)
Pokémon Gold and Silver (2000)
Pokémon Crystal (2001)
Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire (2002)
Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen (2004)
Pokémon Emerald (2005)
You are not limited to these pretty much anything with simple controls for the emulators will work.
