A pair of Razorbills Alca torda is shown on the cliffs at Sumburgh Head, Shetland. The mutual preening behaviour cements the bonding of birds that will generally pair for life, and they are potentially long-lived, producing a single chick annually once that adults are old enough to reproduce. Filmed during a Shetland Wildlife holiday.
