Peter Schilperoort and his Dutch Swing College Band play "South Rampart Street Parade" during a concert recorded for the ZDF Broadcast Company in Germany.
I have played the tune, of course heard it from many bands through the years including the original version of Bob Crosby's Bob Cats in the late thirties or so, but to me there is no compairison. These Dutch musicians do the smoothest version I ever witnessed.

Today in 2007 unfortunately the band in this combination doesn't exist any more but continue to be successful in a different combination.After Peter's death in 1991 reedman Bob Kaper became leader and Bert de Kort, who was the band's cornettist from 1966 until about 1979 came back in the band.
