welcome to the first episode of my sewing basics series! in this tutorial, i will show you how to thread most general domestic sewing machines.

my sewing machine featured in this video is a Singer M3500 purchased in 2023

⟡ why did you start a sewing series? ⟡
although there are many easy-to-follow tutorials online on sewing basics, I still get many requests on the basics of sewing - so I decided to make a series! while I am not a professional seamstress, I am a self-taught designer that learned how to sew from generations passed down and attended fashion school for college.

⟡ what makes your series unique? ⟡
it’s generally the same tutorial as the next sewing basics video but I have long nails so I show you how easy it is to sew even if you have longer nails.

remember ~ if I can sew with long nails, you can do it too!
