ROYAL BLOOD - LIGHTS OUT Drum Cover (with transcription / sheet music)
Cover #144. It's always a blast to rock out to Royal Blood, and as it's one of the most frequently requested bands I figured I'd do another one. It's been a couple of years since the last!
This tune features some great, creative grooves that stay quite repetitive throughout the different sections, which not only support the music fantastically, but therefore also makes it a great tune to practice grooving and consistency to. The choruses have a whole lot of continuous bass drums on the e's and a's (sixteenth note up-beats), which also can be a big challenge to get used to! Lots of things from learn from this one.
Once again, you guys absolutely rocked this week's #GuessThatGroove. You outperformed the last video with a whoppin' 75 people guessing this correctly. You guys are awesome!! I might have to try and make this even trickier in the future, haha!
Also, the original track is mixed A LOT quieter in this video compared to how I usually do it. What's your preference!?
