Using the built-in tools, I'll show you how to make zip file in Windows 10 and create a compressed archive that is easy to share. Making a zip file reduces its size on disk and makes it faster to upload or send by email. You can also create a zip archive to combine several files into one.
Anyone can follow this tutorial, regardless of whether you are using a desktop PC, notebook, or other type of device running Windows 10. You can follow the same process for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1.
How to make zip file?
Right click the file, and select Send to from the context menu. Click Compress (zipped) folder and then give the new zip archive a name.
What is a zipped file?
A zipped files is a compressed archive or one or more files that you can use to reduce the space your files take up on disk. Zipped files are also useful when you want to share large files or share many files at the same time.
Windows 10 supports the .zip format, which is the most common zip archive type in Windows.
