Does the resolution or quality of your photo take a hit?
Yesterday I posted a video using APS-C crop mode to get some extra range and I mentioned in the caption that I would post this video today talking about quality. In short, it doesn’t take a hit it’s only recording using a portion of the sensor resulting in a smaller resolution.
I use this method all the time when shooting small objects or when I know I will crop in post anyway. Any other time, you’re better off shooting with this off and cropping in post!
