Introducing the new Azure SDK

Developer productivity is the top priority for the new Azure SDK. To enable that productivity our libraries need to be idiomatic, consistent, approachable, diagnosable, and dependable.

The old SDK was spread out amongst dozens of repos while the new SDK has consolidated all code into language specific mono-repos.

The old SDK had varying levels of language and OS support while the new SDK treats all languages and OSes equally.

The old SDK had various pipelines and package management policies. The new SDK uses Azure DevOps and GitHub for CI/CD, and releases to the most popular package managers.

The Azure SDK client libraries release monthly. You can find the most up-to-date list of libraries at https://azure.com/sdk

All the SDK code can be found on GitHub at https://github.com/azure/azure-sdk

Please start using and contributing to the new SDK, provide us with feedback, follow us on Twitter (@AzureSDK), and subscribe to our blog.
