MapleStory Lore - Hudak the Ice Knight

So I've always thought the lore in MapleStory was under appreciated, so here it is in video form so you don't have to learn it all yourselves.

Hudak the Ice Knight has a really cool character design that I don't think many people fully know about. His backstory was only revealed through a short lived event quest and website-only articles meant that really, the only exposure to him in-game was in a PvP Battle Mode and the Ice Knight's Curse Party Quest. Both of which don't exactly explain anything about the character and haven't been accessible for years.

I love the tie-in's with the Heroes & the Black Mage. I think it even helps to flesh out their characters a bit more, cementing Aran as an honor-bound warrior, and Mercedes as a queen willing to do anything to win. The Black Mage always seems so distant even with his own commanders, rarely ever interacting with them. Here, we see what may have been a potential commander being issued a direct order.

I mention it at the end of this video, but I still want to apologize again for the lack of content this year. While I've never been very consistent with an upload schedule over the years, last year I fully intended to upload much more frequently. From 2019's summer, I had wanted to keep a schedule of putting out content roughly once a week. I kept that up for about 11 weeks until I got the flu pretty terribly but I still tried to keep up with a schedule up until last Halloween. Honestly I was playing Classic WoW heavily back then. With a more relaxed schedule, the absolute least I wanted to put out was something once a month, but after March this year, due to Covid, my surroundings just haven't been ideal. When I actually had a chance to, I finished the second part of the Astaroth content after a 2 month lull, but that was back in May and I haven't put out anything until now. For perspective, I had published 22 videos last year, 19 of which covered lore. This year, I've only been able to put out 6.

I'm not sure when I'll ever be able to get back to making videos frequently, but I do still keep up with MapleStory's lore on a regular basis. Despite the irregular posting, I still want to improve my videos somehow because I want them to be successful even when I can't publish consistently. I want more people to be interested in the lore. I'd really appreciate any input that you have on that. I read every comment you guys post (even on videos from 5 years ago) even though I don't respond to everything.
