Glioblastoma Awareness Day:
National Brain Tumor Society spearheaded this annual event in 2019 to support survivors and their loved ones, to remember those who are no longer with us, and to honor luminaries working toward better treatments, better quality of life, and a cure.
GBM tumors devastate the brain, which controls cognition, mood, behavior, and personality, as well as every function of each organ and body part. The current standard of care can prolong a patient’s life by a few months, but it drastically reduces their quality of life.
