As mentioned above, there are three ways to find large files in Windows 10; one is using Windows Explorer, another is using the command line, and finally any third-party security application. Using these simple steps, you can find large files in Windows 10 and quickly delete them or move them to another location.

If you want to quickly free up memory space on your Windows PC, the best way to do this is to find large files on your Windows 10 PC and get rid of them if they are no longer needed. If deleting such files does not suit you, you can transfer them to an external drive or cloud storage; this will help free up space on the hard drive you are using. If you want to free up disk space without deleting important data, try deleting cache files in Windows 10 to free up valuable storage space. When the C drive warns you that there is not enough space on the C drive, you can first try the methods above to remove unnecessary large files that are taking up space on the system partition.

Once you find large files, in case you need to keep some of them, you can still free up hard drive space by moving files from your hard drive to Google Drive or OneDrive cloud storage. Apart from the above two methods, you can also use a third-party program to find the largest files in Windows 11/10.

You can then use File Explorer's sorting options to find larger files in the search results. You can use the following commands to find specific files on your PC through Windows Search. This way you can use Windows Search to filter files based on file size and find the largest files currently on your computer. In addition to the size options, you can use the following commands to search for various files on your PC and sort by size.

You can also select Size if you want to see the actual size of the file. If you want to change the file size and have a specific size in mind, you can use the following command in the search field. To find out the file size of a specific file, right-click on the file and select "Properties"; you will find all the details of this file. It will scan all variants of file types, and you can narrow down your search to find files of a specific type.

If you want to see the size of all the files in the folder, you can right-click on an empty area and select View Details. To search for large files, click the down arrow next to Size and select an option of your choice. Click the drop-down menu and select a range of file sizes to search.

Now that you have a list of files that match your selected size range, we recommend that you sort them by the time you last used the file (or logged in). Windows will then search for files based on the selected size limit. After you've finished choosing a size, it may take a few minutes for File Explorer to finish searching the entire drive.

If you search on this computer, explorer will scan the entire computer, if you select a drive on this computer, it will only search all files on the selected drive. To check the total free space on your Windows 10 device, select File Explorer from the taskbar, then This PC on the left. Open File Explorer and select This PC on the left to find the largest files on your entire computer, or double-click any drive to find the largest files on it.

If you want to find files on all partitions of a drive, you need to search on This Computer. With the folder open, click on the search box located in the upper right corner of Windows Explorer (with a magnifying glass). You can use the search box in the top right corner of the window to find and sort folders by size.

You can select specific folders to search for files.
