Density Altitude 7000 Feet Prescott, Arizona
On June 8, 2024, I took off from Prescott Regional - Ernest A Love Field in Prescott, Arizona. The time was around 2pm, and the temperature was 85 degrees F. Airport elevation is 5,045 feet, and the reported density altitude given on the ASOS radio channel was over 7,000 feet. I rotated at about 2,000 feet, but by the end of the runway I was only about 100 feet above the ground. I successfully climbed to 10,500 feet, but it took awhile.
