After finally upgrading the PC, I decided to do my first full walkthrough (no commentary) on the channel. I've always had an interest in history from an early age, having lived in Scotland, growing up around ruined Castles and areas where Vikings once landed. So I thought why not put the new RIG through its paces with Ninja Theory's fantasy game, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.
The game follows Senua (voiced by Melanie Juergens), a Pict from Orkney on a mission to save Dillion's soul (voiced by Oliver Walker). The round sack on Senua's back could easily be mistaken as a fashion accessory, but it is in fact Dillion's head. The many horrors faced by Senua, is a manifestation, created through her own psychosis and the belief of Norse mythology. Throughout the game, Senua hears voices (Furies) and stories from Druth, her friend who narrates Norse mythology through Rune stones, which are scattered around the world.
Ninja Theory worked closely with mental health specialists and suffers of psychosis, to provide a deep representation of the illness that consumes Senua. This creates a very dark atmosphere and one hell of a game!
If you would like to see more walkthroughs, then please let me know in the comments! I didn't record my voice whilst playing the game, as I felt this may detract from the story, but if you would be interested in future games, then please let me know.
