People like to believe that Griffith's choices in the Eclipse make him accountable for all of the evil that was done to his Band of the Hawk, especially Guts and Casca. This idea is flawed, however, and in this video I explain why merely making the "choice" to sacrifice isn't enough evidence of informed consent to the God Hand's contract.
In this video I use legal arguments, but understand that I do not use legality as a defense of human Griffith in and of itself. I morally support every legal concept mentioned in this video, cos I'm a big supporter of informed consent.
I also understand that Femto would be accountable for the rape of Casca in a court of law. There was a very clear "mens rea" in that he obviously had the direct intent to rape Casca. I don't defend Femto. I defend human Griffith. People like to claim that there is no difference between them. I would gladly punish Femto/post-transformation Griffith if I could.
This video was in part a response to @RealLifeRyan whose main disagreement with me is the idea of "choice" and accountability in reference to the Eclipse.
