Description: In this video of the exchange server 2016 video tutorial. You will see how to recover a lost exchange server by performing lost exchange server recovery.

In case if you encounter the situation of a disaster, and you are not able to start or recovery your exchange server. You can implement for exchange disaster recovery to recover your lost exchange server.

Most of the exchange configuration is stored in active directory, so you can restore all the exchange functionality back by running the recover switch command.
Setup.exe /m:RecoverServer /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms

Therefore, before running this command you have to prepare the new server according to the below points.

1. Install the same operating system on the new server which was installed on the lost server.
2.Install all the exchange prerequisites
3. Deploy the same disk configuration with the same number of disk and drive letters.
4. Reset the computer account in ad ds which belonged to the lost server.
5. Assign the same ip address to the new server.
6.join the new server to the same domain
7.login with domain admin and run the command

I assure you that after watching this video completely, you will be able to recover your Exchange server 2016.

Note: Once you get the exchange server functionality back, only you have to restore the database to make the exchange server 2016 up and running as it was before.
