In this video, I start with an existing Jetpack Compose Android application that persists data to Firebase Firestore Database, and uses LiveData to listen for changes to the data. I add a new activity to this application, and the activity uses a GoogleMap Composable function. I show how to share generate a Google Maps API Key, register the key in AndroidManifest.xml, share ViewModels across activities with Koin, listen to changes on Firebase, and create Markers on the map. The best part: I show how changing the data in Firebase Firestore Database results in the Marker immediately updating in our app, on the Google Map! A true LiveData experience.
