Neon city alley 01 ... This time I used the #cyclesrender in #blender . And I used the loopcut and extrude technique from @ianHubert . I meshed up two images of building walls from unsplash in affinity photo. In Blender I put this as a texture on a plane. Loopcuted on the edges and extrude it and tadaaaaaaa we have a 3d building wall.
I'm working on some assets for scenes like this. This was the first test where I used them. Lightsigns, ACs, cables and more stuff are coming to these assets.
I rendered a still with cycles without the denoiser, because with the denoiser the final image looked like a painting 😅. Finally, in After Effects I added some depth over the depth channel and volumetric noise. I used a particle world effect to create some raindrops and the smoke was free footage from Ian Hubert.
The train was rendered as separate sequence to speed up the render times. I wanted to use #eevee but unfortunately it doesn't support an object channel...
After rendering I put train where it belongs by using the depth channel or mist channel in blender.
What do you think ?
