What does data literacy have to do with meteorites?
Data literacy has an ever expanding role in today's world - with data everywhere! We have many tools that create beautiful graphs, reports and dashboards. This is great, because it increases people's interest and engagement in data. However, these tools can also make it easy to gloss over the underlying data, and the work needs to be done to prepare, analyze and investigate the data.
I share some of my musings in this video on my experiences and conversations about data literacy. Big shout out to Ben Jones, who authored the book "Avoid Data Pitfalls" which I use as reference in classes I teach.
