Portrait Location: Knolls Recreation Area // Utah
Looking for the best locations for portraits in Utah?
This spot is one of my favorites and fairly unknown among photographers. It's got giant sandcastles, sand dunes, and salt flats. It's a great location for portraits, landscape and night photography.
Knolls Special Recreation Management Area is nearly 36,000 acres of sand dunes, hills, and mud flats located in the Great Salt Lake Desert make a perfect OHV play area. Off-road fun is waiting, but stay within the boundaries, the Knolls OHV area borders a bombing range. Restroom facilities are available but there is no water. There is a $10.00 day use fee.
