Working with MayaLT and Unity3d while I create a new “Cannon” game mechanic where I demonstrate how to apply Stingray PBS materials in MayaLT and how do those materials export to Unity3d.
In MayaLT I also go through naming each one of the “Cannon” 3D models for Unity3d exporting preparation.
In Unity3d, I show you how to import the 3D models exported from MayaLT and I make modifications to pivots which allows me to easily get the “Cannon” ready for the game mechanic.
This is PART 1 of this video series on how to create a mechanic in Unity3d while using MayaLT. In the next video we will actually code the mechanic with C# and implement the input controller to manipulate the “Cannon” rotations.
