Here we get an overview of what is firmware and the concept of memory alignment, which could be byte alignment, word alignment, or multiple-byte alignments such as 16-byte-alignment, 64-byte alignments. We take a conceptual scenario of a camera system and understand how its hardware components demand alignment of memory.
