In this queer coming-of-age comedy, misanthropic teenager Alex Silver (Parris Bates) dreams of becoming the next Jim Henson. Unfortunately, his overbearing father (Bradley Thomas Stephens) is constantly berating and belittling him for his unique pursuits. School is no better, where Alex finds himself bullied and ostracized. Everything changes when Julius (Daniel Q. Taylor), a charismatic transfer student, enters his life. With upbeat optimism, Julius slowly teaches Alex how to become a better version of himself - and an endearing romance soon develops.
