Elon Musk lands on Mars in this deepfake of Disney's RocketMan (1997)
Featuring Elon Musk as Fred Randall, originally played by Harland Williams.

Accident-prone astro-nut Fred Randall (Elon Musk) is the last guy on Earth you'd want on the first manned mission to Mars. But as bad luck would have it, that's exactly what happens, and Fred must undergo hilariously rigorous training at SpaceX and blast off with the rest of the space shuttle crew!

I've done some trailer parodies in the past and deepfaked movie scenes, but this is my first genuine deepfake fanedit concept trailer parody mashup; whatever you want to call it. I had to rebuild it from scratch using a VHS transfer as the only reference. Most of the audio comes directly from the trailer while the footage was taken from a blu-ray rip, as well as various SpaceX videos. Material for the Elon Musk deepfake came from various interviews.
