In the UK people were under police investigation after Tweeting about trans and women's rights.
Ex-policeman Harry Miller was called by the police because he retweeted a funny limerick. He's now fighting this in court.
Posie Parker spent time in a police station because she tweeted that the CEO of Mermaids castrated her son when he got his penis removed for his 16th birthday.
Graham Linehan, the co-writer of the sitcom Father Ted, has been given a verbal warning by police after a complaint by a transgender activist. Linehan was told by West Yorkshire police not to contact the activist Stephanie Hayden, after a row on Twitter.
Reporter Caroline Farrow was investigated by the police for misgendering Susie Green's trans identified son on Twitter.
The UK police uses a registration form for supposed hate crimes. No evidence needed. If someone complains about you, they start a record on you. They might use that record if you apply for a job.
This is a serious breach of human rights.
