Matteo Berrettini is one of the favourites to do well during the 2022 grass-court season, after winning the ATP title at the Stuttgart Open in June 2022.
Berrettini reached the semi-finals of the 2022 Australian Open, losing the eventual winner Rafael Nadal in four sets. Berrettini won the ATP Queens Club title in 2021 and reached the final of Wimbledon a few weeks later, losing to Novak Djokovic in four close sets.
